Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CutTheCrapp platform, including the hirer web application and the candidate mobile application (collectively, the “Service”), operated by CutTheCrapp (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- Hirer accounts are available by invitation only. You must have a valid invite link to create a hirer account.
- Candidate accounts are open to anyone meeting the age requirement.
- You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your account credentials secure.
2. The Service
CutTheCrapp is a skills-based hiring platform that connects candidates with hirers through anonymous, evidence-based matching. We are a technology platform — not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency.
- We do not guarantee employment or hiring outcomes.
- We do not make hiring decisions — hirers make their own decisions based on the evidence presented.
- We do not verify the accuracy of information provided by users (skills, experience, company details).
- Matching is based on skills, assessments, and structured criteria — not demographics, photos, or personal identity.
3. Candidate Responsibilities
- Provide truthful information about your skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Complete assessments honestly without external assistance, AI tools, or impersonation.
- Do not apply to roles you have no genuine interest in or qualification for.
- Respect the application limit (maximum active applications as configured by the platform).
- Do not share assessment questions or answers with others.
- Respond to outreach from matched hirers in a timely and professional manner.
4. Hirer Responsibilities
- Post roles in good faith with genuine intent to hire.
- Provide accurate role descriptions, requirements, and compensation information.
- Review candidates actively — roles that receive no hirer activity may be automatically archived (ghost job prevention).
- Do not use candidate data obtained through the platform for purposes other than evaluating them for the posted role.
- Do not share candidate identity information with unauthorized parties.
- Communicate respectfully through the platform relay system.
- Do not discriminate based on protected characteristics (race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, age).
5. Anonymous Matching
- Candidate identity (name, contact details) is hidden from hirers until a mutual match occurs.
- Hirers review candidates based on skills, projects, assessment results, and voice transcripts only.
- City and demographic information are not shown to hirers during the review process.
- After a match, communication occurs through our anonymous email relay. Neither party's real email is revealed by the platform.
- Users may choose to share their direct contact details voluntarily after matching.
6. Assessments and Integrity
- MCQ assessments and voice responses are part of the matching process.
- We monitor for integrity violations including: tab switching, speed anomalies, and screenshot attempts.
- Integrity flags are visible to hirers as part of the candidate review.
- Repeated integrity violations may result in account suspension.
- Assessment results are used for matching purposes only and are not shared outside the platform except with matched hirers and their designated reviewers.
7. Communication Relay
- After a match, hirers can reach out to candidates through our email relay system.
- The relay protects both parties' email addresses.
- Relay addresses expire after 30 days of inactivity.
- Messages are forwarded — we do not read, store, or analyze message content (only metadata for delivery).
- Abuse of the relay system (spam, harassment, unsolicited commercial messages) will result in account termination.
8. Review Sharing
- Hirers may share anonymized candidate profiles with designated reviewers (e.g., team leads) for feedback.
- Shared reviews never include candidate names, contact information, or demographic data.
- Review links are time-limited and require email verification (OTP) to access.
- Reviewers may only use shared information for the purpose of providing hiring feedback to the sharing hirer.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Create multiple accounts or share account credentials.
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the platform.
- Attempt to de-anonymize candidates before a match.
- Use the platform to discriminate against protected groups.
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or ghost job listings.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the platform.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the platform's source code.
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the platform.
- Circumvent rate limits, application limits, or security measures.
10. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be erased within 30 days.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
- Hirer roles are automatically archived after periods of inactivity (ghost job prevention).
- Terminated accounts cannot be reactivated. You may create a new account only with our permission.
11. Intellectual Property
- The CutTheCrapp platform, brand, and technology are our intellectual property.
- Content you submit (profile data, assessments, messages) remains yours, but you grant us a license to use it for providing the Service.
- MCQ questions in our question bank are platform property and may not be copied or redistributed.
12. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for hiring decisions, employment outcomes, or the conduct of other users.
- We are not liable for data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by other users.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
